My father was an art teacher so I grew up around art. I've tinkered with various forms of art in my spare time until recently, when I just sort of fell backwards into my affinity for sculpting wood. Thus begins my path as an artist and sculptor.

I am new to this medium and learning more with each piece. I use a combination of power tools, hand tools, knives, chisels and gouges.

The ocean seems to influence my path more than anything else. On this journey, the wood along with my process has been my main source of inspiration. I start with a general idea of what I want to make and the wood leads me to the final process. Every completed piece so far has inspired new pieces and new directions.
